KPMG Law advises Prinzhorn Group on the acquisition of German Stora Enso sites
KPMG Law Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft GmbH (“KPMG Law”) has advised Mosburger GmbH, a company of Dunapack Packaging and part of the Austrian Prinzhorn Group, on the acquisition of Stora Enso’s German corrugated packaging operations.
The transaction includes Gaster Wellpappe GmbH (Heidelberg), Wellpappenfabrik Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung (Grünstadt-Sausenheim) and PTI Packmitteltechnik GmbH (St. Ingbert) with production sites in south‑western Germany. The acquired businesses employ around 350 people and generated revenue of approximately EUR 74 million in 2025. Completion of the transaction has taken place on 1 July 2026.
KPMG Law provided comprehensive legal advice to Prinzhorn Group, including legal due diligence, structuring, drafting and negotiation of the share purchase agreement as well as further transaction documentation, and supported the client throughout the signing and closing process.
With this acquisition, Dunapack Packaging further strengthens its position in the German corrugated packaging market and continues to expand vertical integration across the Prinzhorn Group’s paper and packaging operations.
