KPMG Law has advised Mosburger GmbH, a subsidiary of Dunapack Packaging and part of the Austrian Prinzhorn Group, on the acquisition of Stora Enso’s German corrugated packaging operations.
The transaction includes Gaster Wellpappe GmbH (Heidelberg), Wellpappenfabrik Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung (Grünstadt-Sausenheim), and PTI Packmitteltechnik GmbH (St. Ingbert), all of which have production facilities in southwestern Germany. The acquired businesses employ approximately 350 people and generated revenue of approximately EUR 74 million in 2025. The transaction was completed on July 1, 2026.
KPMG Law provided comprehensive legal advice to the Prinzhorn Group, including legal due diligence, structuring, drafting, and negotiation of the share purchase agreement as well as other transaction documentation, and supported the client throughout the signing and closing process.
With this acquisition, Dunapack Packaging further strengthens its position in the German corrugated packaging market and continues to expand vertical integration across the Prinzhorn Group’s paper and packaging operations.
