Biography

As a lead partner, Daniel Kaut advises companies on national and international M&A transactions. His practice focuses on the legal management of buy-side and sell-side processes, from structuring and negotiation through to signing and closing.

Daniel advises on strategic corporate acquisitions and divestitures, as well as carve-outs, joint ventures, and corporate restructurings. He regularly oversees the overall coordination of legal counsel and serves as the primary point of contact for management, shareholders, and investors. His clients include publicly traded corporations, family-owned industrial companies, private equity investors, and the public sector. When managing client matters, Daniel consistently prioritizes complex issues based on their relevance to the transaction and guides his clients—with a clear understanding of market standards, timing, and outcomes—through to a successful close.

As a partner at KPMG Law, Daniel has overall responsibility for legal advice in the areas of corporate, M&A, employment law and antitrust law and heads a department with thirteen partners and a total of over sixty lawyers.
