KPMG Law strengthens Legal Corporate Services with Lisa Kopp

KPMG Law strengthens its Solution Line Legal Corporate Services with Dr. Lisa Kopp. She will start at the Munich office on February 1, 2023 as a partner with a focus on stock corporation law and the support of shareholders’ meetings.

Lisa Kopp starts as a partner in the Legal Corporate Services team at KPMG Law’s Munich office on February 1. She focuses on the preparation and support of ordinary and extraordinary shareholders’ meetings as well as on advising companies and corporate bodies on stock corporation law. She also advises on capital market law issues in the areas of insider trading, corporate publicity (ad hoc announcements), shareholding and voting rights publicity as well as BaFin investigations.

Kopp joins from Hengeler Mueller, where she began her career in 2015. One focus of her work here was advising listed companies on the preparation and conduct of ordinary and extraordinary shareholders’ meetings. She advises companies and their boards on corporate governance and stock corporation law issues in special situations. She brings many years of experience in the field of capital markets law, in particular with regard to insider law issues, corporate, shareholding and voting rights publicity as well as BaFin investigations. Kopp studied at the University of Bayreuth and received his doctorate.

Philipp Glock, Solution Line Head Legal Corporate Services at KPMG Law, puts Kopp’s new hire in a broader context:

“We have been experiencing increasing demand from clients in corporate law for years. The area of general meetings in particular has undergone significant changes in recent years due to the pandemic, among other things, which companies have to take into account. Lisa Kopp’s experience and expertise perfectly complement our offering here and support us in the strategic expansion of the practice.”
