KPMG Law has developed the “Tech Career Path”, an alternative career path at KPMG Law to legal and administrative careers. The background to this is the growing importance of legal tech in day-to-day legal work and the increasing need for appropriately trained and experienced professionals.
The KPMG Law Tech Career Path includes dedicated career steps, specific requirements and a differentiated training curriculum. It thus offers a career model that runs on an equal footing with the traditional path and, like there, enables promotions based on professional expertise. Responsibilities include business development and sales; management and acquisition duties are generally not included.
The Tech Career Path is divided into three levels and leads through the “Senior Specialist” to the “Lead Specialist”. The job title may vary depending on the job role. Further training is provided through on-the-job measures and specialist seminars. The compensation model combines fixed and variable components.
Dr. Folke Werner, CHRO at KPMG Law, comments: “With the Tech Career Path, KPMG Law is making an interesting offer for qualified tech specialists at the interface between IT, processes and legal work. The career model offers attractive development opportunities and takes individual requirements and needs into account.”
