“Until then, affected companies are well advised not only to continue monitoring and observing the current European legislative process for the introduction of a new EU Packaging Regulation, but also to take the current regulations of the EU Packaging Directive seriously, including the country-specific implementations – in Germany, for example, the Packaging Act must be observed, with obligations to register, system participation, take-back, reusable supply and, if necessary, to submit a declaration of completeness.”
