Jonas Brueckner is a compliance and investigations lawyer and part of the Antitrust & Investment Control practice group at KPMG Law. Together with his team, he advises companies from all sectors of the economy on all aspects of German and European antitrust and merger control law as well as on all types of compliance issues, the establishment of compliance programs, the conduct of internal investigations, foreign trade law and third country subsidies.
Jonas Brueckner is particularly experienced in conducting cross-border internal investigations to clarify various compliance violations and has conducted well over 100 interviews in this context.
Before joining KPMG in 2023, he worked for several years for a US law firm in Düsseldorf and Berlin and a Magic Circle law firm in Brussels. Jonas Brueckner studied law at the Universities of Constance, Geneva and Oxford. He received his doctorate from the University of Cologne.
He is listed as a “Leading Individual” and “Future Leader” by “Who’s Who Legal” and as a “Rising Star” by Euromoney Experts Guide. Handelsblatt/Best Lawyers 2024 lists him among “Germany’s Best Lawyers” in the Competition/Antitrust category.
Jonas Brueckner is a member of the Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht and the Forum Investitionsprüfung. He is co-head of the Berlin regional group of the Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht.
