KPMG Law and KPMG advise LEONI on the sale of its Wire Products & Solutions business group

KPMG Law Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH (KPMG Law) provided LEONI AG with legal advice and KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft (KPMG AG) with tax advice on the sale of its Wire Products & Solutions business group to Deutsche Invest Mittelstand GmbH. The German teams worked together with experts from the KPMG network in the United Kingdom and China.

LEONI is a global supplier of products, solutions and services for energy and data management in the automotive industry, whose value chain ranges from standardized cables to special and data cables to highly complex wiring systems. Based in Nuremberg, the company employs around 95,000 people in 27 countries.

The Wire Products & Solutions Business Group manufactures wire products and solutions based on copper and alloys. The business is operated by the companies LEONI Draht GmbH, Haarländer GmbH, LEONI Temco Ltd. and LEONI Wire (Changzhou) Co, Ltd.

Deutsche Invest Mittelstand GmbH is a German investment company specializing in the financing of medium-sized companies. It offers various financing solutions, including mezzanine capital, equity and debt capital.

KPMG Law provided LEONI with comprehensive legal advice on the implementation of the bidding process, the drafting and negotiation of the agreements underlying the transaction and the merger control clearance requirements. KPMG Law worked closely with the experts at KPMG AG, who provided LEONI with tax advice. The German teams cooperated with experts from the respective KPMG networks in the United Kingdom and China.
