KPMG Law Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH (KPMG Law) and KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft (KPMG) advised Diehl Defence GmbH & Co. KG (Diehl Defence) on the complete acquisition of e.sigma Systems GmbH and its subsidiary e.sigma Technology GmbH (e.sigma).
With cross-location teams, KPMG Law provided legal advice to Diehl Defence and tax advice to KPMG on the acquisition of e.sigma with locations in Munich and Ilmenau.
Diehl Defence is a leading system house for air defense systems and serves as a partner to the German and international armed forces. In addition to systems for ground-based air defense, the company’s product portfolio includes guided missiles for all branches of the armed forces, ammunition for the army, air force and navy as well as protection systems. Diehl Defence also develops and produces key components such as infrared modules, fuses and special batteries.
The acquisition of e.sigma, a specialist for modern training and simulation technologies for military deployment scenarios, enables Diehl Defence to continue its growth course in the air defense sector and to strengthen its expertise in training and simulation technologies.
