KPMG Law advises the Free State of Bavaria on the financing of the U6 subway line in Munich

KPMG Law Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH (KPMG Law) advised the Free State of Bavaria on the negotiations and conclusion of a financing agreement for a section of the U6 line.

The line is the section between the Garching-Hochbrück and Garching Forschungszentrum stations, most of which is located on the territory of the city of Garching, where numerous scientific institutes of the Technical University of Munich are located.

KPMG Law advised the Free State of Bavaria on the transaction with a team led by Dr. Barbara Buhr and Dr. Magnus Auer.

The conclusion of the financing agreement was preceded by extensive negotiations between the district of Munich, the city of Garching, the state capital Munich, Münchner Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH (MVG) and the Free State of Bavaria. In the course of this, the district of Munich has now taken over from the city of Garching not only the infrastructure but also the permit under the Passenger Transportation Act.

KPMG Law advised the Free State on state aid, public procurement and passenger transportation law and conducted the negotiations for the Free State. KPMG Law also assumed an overall coordinating role in the negotiations.
