KPMG Law advises MeisterLabs shareholders on financing round

KPMG Law Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH, Berlin, and KPMG Law Vienna (KPMG Law) advised the shareholders of MeisterLabs GmbH on a financing round and the sale of shares.

The Meister Group, with locations in Vienna and Munich, is present on the global market with its MindMeister, MeisterTask and MeisterNote solutions. In a primary and secondary transaction, Verdane, an investment company specializing in growth capital with offices in Berlin, Copenhagen, Helsinki, London, Oslo and Stockholm, joined MeisterLabs as an investor. The transaction was signed on June 17, 2021, and the closing took place on July 12, 2021.

As a result of the financing, Meister will further expand, optimize and more strongly integrate its product portfolio.

KPMG Law provided comprehensive advice on the transaction structuring as well as the drafting and negotiation of the agreements and corporate documents underlying the transaction with a team in Berlin led by KPMG Law partner Stefan Kimmel and senior manager Maria Rockstroh and for the Austrian part with a team in Vienna led by KPMG Law partner Dr. Wendelin Ettmayer and Mag. Stephanie Sauer.
