Internal Investigations
Manuela Meyer is an attorney specializing in general commercial law. She studied law in Kiel and Prague and earned her doctorate in international civil procedure. During her legal clerkship, she gained international experience at the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Thailand and the German Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She then worked at a Berlin law firm specializing in corporate law, with a focus on litigation.
She is a specialist attorney in commercial and corporate law and has been advising management teams and supervisory boards on liability risks for many years.
She has many years of experience handling complex cross-border legal disputes before state courts and arbitral tribunals, both as counsel for parties and as an arbitrator.
She advises clients on ESG liability risks, particularly greenwashing risks associated with environmental claims and sustainability labels in light of the Empowering Consumers Directive. This also includes representing clients in and out of court in contentious disputes. She is a member of the DICO Working Group on ESG and Corporate Sustainability.
Manuela Meyer has already conducted numerous internal investigations at companies where compliance violations were suspected.
