Compliance in SMEs is challenging: the legal responsibility for compliance is undisputed, but the specific tasks are unclear and depend on the specific situation of a company. Against this background, DIN SPEC 91524 emerged from the project “Empirical development and testing of a compliance standard for SMEs – MiCo” funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection.
