
KPMG Law Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH (KPMG Law) and KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft (KPMG AG) advised Landwirtschaftlicher Versicherungsverein Münster a. G. (LVM Versicherung) on an investment in rightmart GmbH in the context of a Series B financing.
The rightmart group provides a platform for legal tech firms to scale consumer legal services. The platform integrates legal tech elements such as software, data, AI and process automation, as well as marketing, sales and financial services. Founded in Bremen in 2016, the rightmart group employs more than 200 people.
LVM Versicherung has 3.7 million customers with 14.1 million policies and more than 3,900 employees at its corporate headquarters in Münster, Germany, as well as some 2,200 LVM trusted agents and agency partners with more than 5,200 employees and trainees at LVM insurance agencies nationwide. With premium income of 4.2 billion euros and investments of 21.6 billion euros, LVM Versicherung is one of the 20 leading insurers in Germany.
As part of the Series B financing, KPMG Law was responsible for the legal due diligence, advised on the structuring and on the legal transaction documentation of the financing round. In this context, KPMG Law worked with a cross-location team, primarily from the areas of corporate/M&A, employment law, data protection law and antitrust law.
KPMG AG was responsible for the valuation report and advice on tax issues.
