KPMG Law advises Transgourmet Germany on the acquisition of Niggemann Food Frischemarkt

KPMG Law Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH advised Transgourmet Deutschland GmbH & Co. OHG on the acquisition of Niggemann Food Frischemarkt GmbH, Bochum. The acquisition included the transfer of industrial property rights as well as the company’s land from the seller, Werner Niggemann GmbH.

The subject of KPMG Law’s services was comprehensive legal advice on the transaction, in particular the purchase agreement, the land purchase agreement, antitrust clearance and trademark advice. Tax advice was provided by KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft. The financial due diligence was performed by KPMG Holding AG, Switzerland.

Maximilian Gröning, Partner at KPMG Law, comments: “We have been advising Transgourmet for years. A key reason for this is our ability to quickly assemble cross-disciplinary teams for any new task. Working with our colleagues from the accounting firm, we comprehensively cover all legal and business aspects of an acquisition.”

The multichannel supplier Transgourmet employs around 10,000 people in Germany and is the pick-up and delivery wholesaler for professional catering kitchens.
