KPMG law firms advise Vaessen Group on acquisition of Constellium Extrusions Germany

KPMG law network firms, together with experts from KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft, advised the Belgian company Vaessen Aluminium B.V. on the acquisition of all shares in Constellium Extrusions Deutschland GmbH. The transaction is still subject to antitrust clearance.

Vaessen is an internationally operating manufacturer of high-quality aluminum profiles. Constellium is part of the Constellium Group and has extrusion plants in Landau, Crailsheim and Burg near Magdeburg.

KPMG Law Germany and KPMG Law Belgium accompanied the transaction with a Belgian-German team and conducted both the legal due diligence and the negotiations for Vaessen. The teams were led by Belgian corporate/M&A partner Frank Cleeren (KPMG Law, Belgium) and German corporate/M&A partner Dr. Dr. Boris Schilmar (KPMG Law, Germany) and supported by senior counsel Bert van Camp (Belgium) and senior manager Sebastian Stöhr (Germany). The KPMG Law firms also advised Vaessen on all other legal matters related to the transaction, including antitrust and competition law, FDI, employment law, and commercial and contract law.
