By further integrating Legal Operations, Legal Technology and Legal Managed Services, KPMG Law is deepening its expertise in this area in order to support clients even more holistically on their way to a more efficient and digital way of working and to ensure their long-term economic success.
Philipp Glock, Head of the Legal Transformation & Managed Services (LTMS) solution line, which also includes Legal Operations Advisory, explains: “In times of global transformation, legal departments are faced with tasks that require a comprehensive and fully integrated advisory approach in order to make them more digital, more efficient and even more risk-aware. Through the unified management of the three divisions Legal Operations, Legal Technology and Legal Managed Services, we are strategically expanding the Legal Operations Advisory division. We are also opening up even more interfaces with the experts at KPMG and can thus incorporate findings from the organizational consulting of other units such as HR/Tax or Procurement as well as shared technology.”
The Legal Operations Advisory division has been headed by Markus Fuhrmann since February 1, 2025. He takes over the management from Andreas Bong. Fuhrmann has been a partner at KPMG Law since the beginning of 2024. Prior to this, he worked for many years at two other leading consulting firms. He has been advising companies for more than 25 years on (digital) transformations and the realignment of their legal departments for greater efficiency, scalability and agility, including process/IT optimizations. His focus is on legal operations and legal managed services. He has implemented numerous best practices to optimize the legal department for various industries. Fuhrmann studied law and industrial engineering.
Fuhrmann will be supported by Senior Manager Jennifer Oelkers. She joined KPMG Law in 2021 and was previously with KPMG for over 13 years. Oelkers supports global companies in particular in setting up efficient and legally compliant legal processes in companies. The focus of her advice is on the development and implementation of optimized target operating models for the areas of legal, compliance and data protection. She is a lawyer.
Due to the continuing high demand, the Legal Operations Advisory division is being further expanded. It was only at the beginning of January that KPMG Law strengthened its team with the addition of Senior Manager Jana Sichelschmidt.
