KPMG Law and KPMG advise Mainova AG on acquisition of majority stake in SOLEA AG

KPMG Law Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH (KPMG Law) and KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft (KPMG) advised Mainova AG on the acquisition of a majority stake in SOLEA AG.

SOLEA AG is a project developer for solar PV based in Lower Bavaria. Mainova is thus strengthening its core business area of renewable energies and accelerating the growth path for green power generation.

KPMG advised on the transaction from M&A advice to financial due diligence and tax due diligence and KPMG Law to legal due diligence and full contract negotiations. Due to the close integration of energy law, public M&A, antitrust law and the connection of tax and deal advisory, the complex transaction was successfully completed.

Subject to antitrust clearance, closing is expected in October.
