The managing partner of Deutsche Werkstätten, Fritz Straub, is selling a 75 percent majority stake in Deutsche Werkstätten Beteiligungs GmbH to the French Ateliers de France group. The shareholder retains 25 percent himself.
Founded in Dresden in 1898, Deutsche Werkstätten is an international company for craftsmanship and technical projects in individual interior design, primarily for luxury yachts and private residences. In addition to its headquarters in Dresden-Hellerau, the company operates a production center in Großröhrsdorf, Saxony.
Ateliers de France, headquartered in Paris, is an international company specializing in the construction and restoration of cultural monuments and prestigious properties – from townhouses, theaters and hotels to castles and palaces. With the acquisition of Deutsche Werkstätten, Ateliers de France is strengthening its presence on the German market.
