KPMG Law and KPMG advise SGS on acquisition of proderm

KPMG Law Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH (KPMG Law) and KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft advised SGS on the acquisition of proderm GmbH.

The product testing and inspection group SGS expands in Germany and acquires proderm GmbH, a provider of clinical testing solutions for cosmetics, personal care products, dermatological drugs and medical devices.

SGS is a publicly traded, international commodity testing company that provides testing, verification, physical testing and certification services. Around 93,000 employees work in SGS’s network of more than 1,800 branches and laboratories in over 120 countries. In Germany, the company trades as SGS Holding Deutschland B.V. & Co. KG.

proderm is a contract research organization focusing on dermatological testing The company, founded in 1994 and based in Schenefeld near Hamburg, serves customers from the consumer care and pharmaceutical industries worldwide. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price
