
KPMG Law Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft (KPMG Law) provided legal advice to the management board of Nürnberger Beteiligungs-AG throughout the entire public takeover process by Vienna Insurance Group (VIG). The KPMG Law team provided support in particular on corporate law issues. The advice was provided in cooperation with attorney Dr. Stefan Mutter of Mutter & Partner.
An interdisciplinary team from KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft (KPMG) also provided Nürnberger Beteiligungs-AG with comprehensive support in financial and tax matters and in the preparation and implementation of the transaction when the merger agreement with VIG was signed.
Nürnberger Beteiligungs-AG is the parent company of the long-established Nürnberger Insurance Group with almost 6 million policies. Headquartered in Vienna, VIG is an insurance group operating in around 30 countries in Central and Eastern Europe with more than 50 companies serving over 28 million customers. This is the largest acquisition in VIG’s history to date.
