Guest article in stores+shops: EU packaging regulation on the home straight

In the latest issue of the retail magazine stores+shops , KPMG Law experts Simon Meyer and Sandro Köpper present the new EU packaging regulation.

“The new EU Packaging Regulation fits seamlessly into a series of new regulations (e.g. the EU Ecodesign Regulation) that aim to prevent waste and – where this is not possible – to recycle waste in order to return these materials to a material cycle as secondary raw materials.
As an EU regulation, the new regulation offers the opportunity to regulate the handling of packaging uniformly throughout Europe.”
