Melis Hacibekiroglu was born in Istanbul and moved to Germany with her family at the age of ten. After graduating from high school, she studied law at the University of Augsburg in Bavaria. During her studies, she also completed the Foreign Language Law Training at the Faculty of Law in Turkish Law. During her legal clerkship, she chose “International and European Law” as her professional field and completed her three-month mandatory elective internship at the Representation of the State of Baden-Württemberg to the European Union in Brussels in the Justice Department.
Since her admission to the bar in 2021, she has been working for KPMG Law at the Berlin office. Her main areas of expertise are public commercial law, including administrative law, municipal law, public procurement law and European law.
