Biography

Francois Heynike has been a partner at KPMG Law since December 2021 and heads the IT and data protection law practice area. His focus is on helping clients make the most of opportunities presented by digitization and finding pragmatic solutions to legal challenges.

He specializes in providing legal support to nationally and internationally active companies in complex IT and digitization projects. One focus of his work is legal advice on digital transformation, the use of new technologies (e.g. AI or Big Data & Analytics) and the introduction of innovative business models (e.g. data – and cloud-based products).

In addition, he advises companies and banks on all data protection issues, e.g. on global GDPR compliance projects, on international data traffic (in particular SCCs and Transfer Risk Assessments) and on cyber security topics.
