Dr. Gerd Müller

Biography

After his admission to the bar in early 2001, Gerd Müller initially worked for the law firm CMS Hasche Sigle until 2003. From 2003 to 2012 he joined KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft, and from 2007 simultaneously KPMG Law Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH. In the period from 2012 to 2020, Gerd Müller moved to PwC Legal AG/ PwC Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft. As of 2020, he returned to KPMG Law Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft, in addition to which he also provides tax consulting services through KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft.

Gerd Müller studied law at the University of Würzburg. He completed his legal clerkship at the Bamberg Higher Regional Court. After his second state examination, he received his doctorate from the University of Würzburg with a thesis on a criminal law topic.

In 2004, Gerd Müller became a certified tax lawyer; in 2006, he successfully passed the examination to become a tax advisor.

Consulting focus

As a lawyer and tax advisor, Gerd Müller advises on corporate law and civil law at the intersection with tax law and commercial accounting law. His clients are predominantly private, municipal and denominational hospital operators and medical care centers, as well as municipal-owned companies.

As a consultant, Gerd Müller always looks for pragmatic and practicable solutions with holistic consideration of legal and tax aspects
