Biography

At the core of his advisory work as an M&A partner at KPMG Law is his responsibility to his clients to lead them to a successful conclusion of a contract with prudence, foresight and a pragmatic eye for the essentials.

Boris Schilmar focuses on the legal support and coordination of cross-border M&A transactions, acquisition financings and complex restructurings. After the closing of a company acquisition, he also regularly advises the acquirer on corporate and commercial law issues, corporate compliance and financing projects.

As head of the Legal China Country Practice, he has more than 16 years of experience in advising on Chinese-German M&A transactions and the necessary cross-cultural project management. His clients include both strategic investors and private equity houses from Germany and abroad.
