KPMG Law advises Würth on the sale of the Glessdox business unit to Hagleitner

KPMG Law Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH provided legal advice to the Würth Group on the sale of the Glessdox business unit to the Hagleitner Group.

The Würth Group is the world market leader in its core business, the sale of assembly and fastening materials. It currently consists of over 400 companies in more than 80 countries and employs more than 77,000 people. Of these, more than 33,000 are permanent sales representatives in the field.

Through the Glessdox business unit, the Würth Group offered its customers more than 500 products in the field of industrial hygiene, in particular products for leisure facilities, event arenas, hotels and restaurants, administrative offices and production facilities. The Glessdox business unit sold and transferred the Würth Group of Companies to the Hagleitner Group of Companies by way of an asset deal as of January 1, 2019.

The Hagleitner Group operates 27 sites in twelve countries and has more than 950 employees. The headquarters are located in Zell am See (Austria). The Hagleitner group of companies is active in the field of high-end hygiene for washrooms, kitchens, laundry, housekeeping and for hand and surface disinfection.

As part of the transaction, KPMG Law provided legal advice on the drafting and negotiation of the contractual framework underlying the transaction.
