KPMG Law strengthens data protection department at Berlin office with Dr. Ariane Loof

As of July 1, 2019, Dr. Ariane Loof will join KPMG Law Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH (KPMG Law) as Senior Manager in the area of Compliance and Data Protection with a focus on data protection, IP and IT at the Berlin office. The 42-year-old joins from Dentons Europe, where she had been employed since 2013. Prior to that, she worked in medium-sized commercial law firms in Berlin.

Loof advises international and national companies on data protection law, compliance issues and related matters in collective and individual employment law. Her focus is on new media and digital solutions. She advises clients in the mechanical and plant engineering, automotive, financial services, pharmaceutical and digital health industries. In data protection law, Loof advises companies on the implementation of the European General Data Protection Regulation, for example on the implementation of data protection management systems, the necessary guidelines, process flows, contracts, agreements, consents and IT security concepts as well as the accompanying company agreements.

“Berlin is an important location for the further development of our data protection and IP/IT practice. We are therefore particularly pleased to have gained a colleague in Ariane Loof, who has many years of expertise in the field of data protection and IP in supporting national and international projects. We are convinced that we can offer her an excellent basis at KPMG Law and that together with Ariane Loof we will further expand our advisory business and add large interdisciplinary projects and technology projects with our cooperation partner, KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft,” said Dr. Konstantin von Busekist, Partner and Head of Compliance at KPMG Law.
