KPMG Law advises EnBW New Ventures on investment in Holo-Light in €4 million Series A financing round

A team of lawyers from KPMG Law Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH, Germany, and KPMG Law – Buchberger Ettmayer Rechtsanwälte GmbH, Austria, advised EnBW New Ventures GmbH on its investment in Holo-Light as part of a four million Euro Series A financing round.

Holo-Light, based in Vienna and Munich, is a young tech start-up specializing in the development of augmented and mixed reality software solutions for industrial applications. With Holo-Light’s software solution, small objects, large industrial plants or even new residential quarters can be recreated and processed in 3D with millimeter precision. The software is available for data glasses as well as for smartphone and tablet.

EnBW New Ventures GmbH is the corporate VC of the listed energy supply company EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG, headquartered in Karlsruhe. EnBW New Ventures GmbH invests venture capital in innovative young companies with new business models and technologies that drive the converging markets for energy, mobility and urban living.

In the course of the investment of EnBW New Ventures GmbH, Bayern Kapital Innovationsfonds GmbH & Co. KG and Toprope Ventures GmbH will also invest in Holo-Light. The existing investor innogy Ventures GmbH will also further increase its investment as part of the financing round.

In the context of the transaction, KPMG Law provided comprehensive legal advice to EnBW New Ventures as lead investor and was thus once again able to demonstrate its expertise in the field of venture capital.
