KPMG Law advises Lehrieder family shareholders on takeover by NürnbergMesse

KPMG Law advises Lehrieder family shareholders on takeover by NürnbergMesse

KPMG Law Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH (KPMG LAW) advised the family shareholders of Lehrieder Catering-Party-Service GmbH & Co KG on the takeover by NürnbergMesse GmbH.

NürnbergMesse already held 50 percent of Lehrieder’s shares and has now acquired the remaining 50 percent. KPMG Law advised the siblings Dr. Nadine Cauers-Lehrieder and René Lehrieder on the sale of their shares.

Lehrieder Catering-Party-Service GmbH & Co KG is a provider of catering in the Nuremberg metropolitan region with a special focus on event and trade fair catering. NürnbergMesse had already joined the family business in 2016.

The full acquisition secures the future of the company, which was adversely affected by the Corona pandemic. Lehrieder is now managed as a wholly owned subsidiary of NürnbergMesse. Nadine Cauers-Lehrieder remains Managing Director of Lehrieder. René Lehrieder is leaving the management as part of the transaction and is taking over event catering with the entire customer base outside the trade fair.

As part of the transaction, KPMG Law provided comprehensive advice to the selling family shareholders on the drafting and negotiation of the terms and agreements underlying the transaction.

KPMG Law also advised Lehrieder Catering-Party-Service GmbH & Co. KG with regard to insolvency law issues.
