KPMG Law advises Feinwirkerei Karl Jahn on the acquisition of shares in Blaha Textilveredelung
KPMG Law Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH (KPMG Law) provided legal advice to Feinwirkerei Karl Jahn GmbH (Feinwirkerei Karl Jahn) on the acquisition of 50 percent of the shares in Blaha Textilveredelung Bayreuth GmbH (Blaha Textilveredelung).
Blaha Textilveredelung, based in Bayreuth, Germany, is active in the finishing of knitted and woven fabrics made of cotton, viscose, polyester, polyamide, aramids and their blends in fiber and filament.
Feinwirkerei Karl Jahn, based in Schwarzenbach am Wald, is a manufacturer of technical textiles and is active in the fields of warp knitted fabrics, lamination, composites and textile printing. The acquisition was made in cooperation with Dotex Wirkwaren GmbH, which took over the remaining 50 percent of the shares in Blaha Textilveredelung. With this acquisition, Feinwirkerei Karl Jahn continues to pursue its corporate strategy, which combines tradition with technical know-how.
As part of the transaction, KPMG Law provided legal advice on the drafting and negotiation of the contractual framework underlying the transaction. With regard to tax issues, KPMG Law worked closely with the M&A tax experts at KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft.
