KPMG Law strengthens Legal Corporate Services with Thomas Giering

With Dr. Thomas Giering, KPMG Law Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH (KPMG Law) is further expanding its Leipzig office and the Legal Corporate Services division.

Dr. Thomas Giering joined KPMG Law on August 1 as Senior Manager and is primarily responsible for compliance and white-collar criminal law in the Legal Corporate Services solution line. In addition, Giering strengthens the team in Leipzig with his expertise in corporate law. The Leipzig native’s responsibilities also include further establishing the site in the region.

Giering is a lawyer and began his career in 2015 at the law firm Schrade & Partner in Berlin. Three years later, he moved to Luther in Leipzig, where he was most recently a senior associate. He advises on compliance issues and questions of commercial criminal law and administrative offences law. In addition, Giering represents clients on corporate law issues, in particular directors’ and officers’ liability and shareholder disputes, and is familiar with complex international corporate transactions. He studied at the University of Leipzig and holds a doctorate and is associated with the university as a lecturer in criminal law.

Philipp Glock, Partner, Head of the Leipzig office and Co-Head Legal Process & Technology, comments: “Our team in Leipzig is delighted to have Thomas Giering, a locally rooted, internationally positioned expert, as a reinforcement. We also want to give Leipzig even more importance within KPMG Law.”
