Sebastian Stöhr has worked for KPMG Law since his admission to the bar in mid-2011.
Mr. Stöhr studied law at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf. After his first state examination, he worked as a research assistant in the field of corporate and capital markets law at Shearman & Sterling LLP before enrolling in the legal master’s program at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand, in 2008 and graduating with a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree. During his legal clerkship, Mr. Stöhr also worked for leading commercial law firms in the field of corporate law.
Consulting focus
Mr. Stöhr advises in the areas of corporate law and M&A. His practice focuses on advising on national and international corporate transactions, joint ventures and corporate restructurings with a particular emphasis on transactions in the financial services sector. He has particular experience in cross-border transactions. He has also gained profound insights into venture capital and private equity from assisting numerous strategic and institutional investors with investments, financing rounds and exits.
Mr. Stöhr is appointed as an arbitrator of the German Institution of Arbitration (DIS) in post-M&A disputes.
