Dr. Frank Püttgen

Biography

Frank Püttgen is a Senior Manager at KPMG Law in the area of Legal Financial Services, Insurance and advises insurance companies and insurance intermediaries on almost all issues of insurance and reinsurance law.

One of his main areas of practice is insurance supervisory law and insurance company law, including the commercial law of insurance intermediaries and insurance distribution law. During his many years as an attorney, he has advised insurance companies and insurance intermediaries on a wide variety of insurance regulatory issues and assisted with corporate transactions and projects – such as start-ups, mergers, ownership control, portfolio transfers, restructurings, outsourcing, capital investments, new product launches, etc.

Frank Püttgen also has special expertise in the field of industrial insurance, in particular financial lines such as D&O insurance, fidelity insurance and cyber risk insurance. Here, he advises on product design issues and represents insurers in the processing and settlement of complex claims, particularly in the case of major losses.
