His legal practice focuses on criminal tax law and tax litigation as well as succession and foundations.
As a member of the practice group “Criminal Tax Law, Commercial Criminal Law and Tax Litigation”, Barnim Freiherr von Gemmingen advises companies and individuals on how to avoid criminal tax risks and defends clients in tax and administrative offence proceedings against the tax, customs and criminal prosecution authorities (criminal tax law). In addition, he advises and represents clients in tax procedural law for the enforcement of tax positions before the tax authorities and tax courts (tax litigation).
In addition, Barnim Freiherr von Gemmingen supports family businesses, family offices and private individuals in all matters relating to corporate and asset succession as well as asset protection, and develops comprehensive concepts with clients regarding inheritance and gift tax (succession). This also includes advising family foundations and charitable foundations as well as associations on setting up and assisting them in implementing their objectives (foundations).
