Biography

Lisa Watermann is a lawyer and Senior Manager at KPMG Law in the Legal Financial Services department. She advises national and international banks, financial service providers, insurance companies and capital management companies comprehensively on banking and capital markets law issues as well as securities regulatory law.

She supports her clients in the implementation of complex legal and regulatory requirements under civil and supervisory law and in accordance with national and European regulations, in particular the German Banking Act (KWG), the German Securities Supervision Act (WpIG), the German Investment Code (KAGB) and the German Securities Trading Act (WpHG) as well as the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR).

Lisa Watermann has particular expertise in the area of sustainability regulation and financial distribution law. She also assists supervisory and administrative bodies of institutions in the digital implementation of self-evaluations in accordance with the German Banking Act and non-regulated companies in the self-assessment (efficiency audit) in accordance with the German Corporate Governance Code.
