KPMG Law strengthens M&A practice in Stuttgart with addition of Partner

KPMG Law Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH (KPMG Law) wins Dr. Andreas Vath as a partner for the M&A practice at its Stuttgart office.

Dr. Andreas Vath (46) will join the Stuttgart office of KPMG Law as a partner on June 1, 2021. He began his career as a transaction lawyer in Munich and, after working for Weil, Gotshal & Manges, Willkie Farr & Gallagher and Dechert among others, most recently worked in his own transaction boutique, specializing in advising financial investors, corporate clients and family offices. With Andreas Vath, KPMG Law gains a renowned transaction expert with proven expertise in national and cross-border M&A transactions. Vath has broad industry expertise and many years of experience in advising on M&A transactions of all sizes for private equity houses, investment companies, strategic investors and family offices.

With the addition of Andreas Vath, KPMG Law continues its growth strategy in M&A. “The market for legal transaction advice is intact, and we expect it to pick up significantly once the corona pandemic subsides. In addition to strategic investors, financial investors and family offices will then play a special role,” comments Dr. Daniel Kaut, who heads the German M&A practice at KPMG Law. “I am pleased that we have found a very experienced M&A expert in Andreas Vath, who will in particular also drive the further development of these client groups and, together with the partners already active at the location, expand legal transaction advice in the significant economic region of Stuttgart.”

“KPMG Law enjoys an excellent reputation in the M&A market,” adds Vath. “I am very much looking forward to continuing to drive the dynamic development and contributing my expertise.”
