KPMG Law further expands its Legal Process & Technology division

KPMG Law Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH grows with rfrnz co-founder Sven von Alemann and Conrad Bauer.

KPMG Law has brought Dr. Sven von Alemann on board as Senior Manager of the Legal Process & Technology team. Von Alemann is co-founder and CEO of rfrnz GmbH, a legal tech company that uses artificial intelligence to help lawyers analyze contracts. Previously, von Alemann was Senior Legal Counsel at hybris GmbH/SAP and before that at Fujitsu Technology Solutions. Other stations were McDermott Will & Emery and the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft for the promotion of applied research. Sven von Alemann will strengthen the “Legal Tech Solutions” and “Legal Managed Services” area at KPMG Law, which on the one hand develops legal tech solutions and managed services and on the other advises legal departments on their digitalization strategies.

In addition to Sven von Alemann, Conrad Bauer has joined KPMG Law as Senior Manager. Bauer worked for the Daimler Group and Targobank as in-house counsel and most recently as an independent legal project manager. In addition to his full legal education, he is a certified and experienced project manager. He will strengthen and expand the Legal Project Management practice area and in this role will support both client projects of the firm and legal departments with modern project management methods.

Philipp Glock, Partner at KPMG Law responsible for Legal Process & Technology and Head of the Leipzig office, is pleased about the reinforcement: “Our clients rightly expect us to support them with modern and intelligent technologies and new services and to manage their projects professionally. We are significantly expanding these areas with the competencies of Sven von Alemann and Conrad Bauer.”
