KPMG Law advises Österreichische Bundesimmobiliengesellschaft on its investment in Ampeers Energy

KPMG Law Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH (KPMG Law) provided legal advice to Österreichische Bundesimmobiliengesellschaft m.b.H. (BIG) on a 25.1 percent investment in Ampeers Energy GmbH as part of a financing round.

Ampeers Energy, based in Munich, was founded in 2019 as a spin-off of the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft. The company develops and distributes innovative and intelligent software for optimizing energy supply and reducing CO2 emissions from real estate and urban neighborhoods.

BIG is one of the largest real estate owners in Austria. According to its own information, the Group maintains over 2,000 properties with a fair value of around 13.8 billion euros.

As part of the transaction, KPMG Law provided legal due diligence as well as legal advice on the drafting and negotiation of the contractual framework underlying the transaction. KPMG Law worked closely with experts from KPMG Austria GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungs- und Steuerberatungsgesellschaft in the areas of tax and financial.
