KPMG Law Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH (KPMG Law) and KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft (KPMG) advised Olympia-Verlag GmbH on the acquisition of all shares in the digital marketing company QUARTER MEDIA GmbH.
Olympia-Verlag is a German magazine publisher based in Nuremberg. It is wholly owned by the publishing house Nürnberger Presse Druckhaus Nürnberg GmbH & Co. KG and produces, among other things, the sports magazine “kicker.
QUARTER MEDIA, founded in 2001, specializes in programmatic advertising and is particularly present in the sports environment. With this acquisition, Olympia-Verlag is taking the next step in expanding the technological marketing of its media brands kicker and ALPIN, as well as the regional portals of the Nürnberger Presse publishing group.
KPMG Law and KPMG assisted Olympia Publishing in the acquisition. KPMG Law conducted the legal due diligence and was responsible for providing legal advice in the drafting and negotiation of the contract underlying the transaction. KPMG Law worked closely with KPMG’s M&A tax and financial experts on tax and financial due diligence as well as on tax and economic issues.
