KPMG Law strengthens Legal Financial Services with Dr. Ulrich Florian

KPMG Law Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH (KPMG Law) is expanding its Legal Financial Services division at its Düsseldorf office with the appointment of Dr. Ulrich Florian as of January 01, 2022. Dr. Ulrich Florian will join Dr. Andreas Wieland’s team in the Banking sector as Senior Manager.

Dr. Ulrich Florian joins us from HSBC Trinkaus & Burkhardt AG, where he served as General Counsel since 2008. After starting his career in the syndicate and underwriting business, he advised the Structured Solutions Group from 2009 and was employed in the central legal department in the area of banking and capital markets law as Associate General Counsel from 2010. In 2019, he additionally took over advising on IT law issues as Digital Lead Lawyer Europe. His previous positions include Hengeler Mueller in Frankfurt and Hoffmann Liebs in Düsseldorf, where he focused on banking, banking regulatory and capital markets law, as well as DekaBank Deutsche Girozentrale, where he was in-house counsel responsible for banking and capital markets law.

At KPMG Law, Dr. Ulrich Florian will provide comprehensive advice on issues of banking and banking supervisory law as well as on issues of capital markets law, in particular also on sustainability regulation (“ESG”).
