KPMG Law strengthens Legal Financial Services and Environmental and Planning Law

KPMG Law Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH (KPMG Law) has hired Marc Pussar, an old acquaintance: Before an interlude at PwC Legal, Pussar already worked at KPMG Law. He now returns to Miriam Bouazza’s Legal Financial Services team as a partner. Also starting in the Legal Financial Services team are Robert Kuhn on October 1 and Christoph Meyer in July of this year. In environmental and planning law, Dr. Florian Gonsior strengthens the team at the Düsseldorf office.

Marc Pussar, 45, will start as a Partner in the Legal Financial Services team at KPMG Law in Frankfurt on October 1, 2022. Pussar joins from PwC Legal, where he handled banking, insurance and investment law. His clients include national and international companies and groups, banks, financial service providers, payment service providers, e-money institutions, FinTechs and investment companies. Pussar started his career at SKW Schwarz, where he worked in Banking & Finance, Corporate/ M&A.

Also effective October 1, Robert Kuhn joins the Legal Financial Services team in Frankfurt as Senior Manager. Kuhn joins from Clifford Chance in Luxembourg, where he was responsible for acquisition financings, investment grade credit facilities and other corporate finance transactions, including refinancing and restructuring, in the finance transaction team since 2020. Another focus of Kuhn is asset finance, especially in the area of real estate financing.

Christoph Meyer joined the Legal Financial Services team as early as July 1, 2022, also as Senior Manager. Meyer began his career at Unicredit Bank AG as in-house counsel and has worked in the meantime at Simmons & Simmons LLP, as well as at Crédit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank Germany and VTB Bank (Europe) SE, in each case also as in-house counsel. He specializes in corporate finance, in particular structured finance.

Christoph Meyer and Robert Kuhn join Miriam Bouazza’s financing team. Currently, the financing team comprises six professionals.

The Environmental and Planning Law team will also be strengthened: Dr. Florian Gonsior will also start at the Düsseldorf office as Senior Manager on October 1. His consulting focus is on complex licensing projects, particularly in the energy sector. In addition, he advises clients on immission control and construction law. Gonsior has an additional focus on the public finance sector.

Gonsior joins from Posser Spieth Wolfers & Partners, where he also handled environmental and planning law after starting his career at Freshfields Bruckhaus Dringer. At KPMG Law, he will report to Dr. Moritz Püstow in the Legal Public Sector Solution Line.
