Karl Karbe studied law at the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt University in Greifswald. After completing his legal clerkship in Berlin and Brandenburg, Karl Karbe worked as a legal counsel in the purchasing department of a municipal real estate service provider in Berlin from 2015 to 2019. From 2019 to 2022, he worked as the head of the procurement office of a municipal housing association in Berlin, where he oversaw the development of the procurement office. Karl Karbe has been working for KPMG Law Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH since 2022.
Consulting focus
Karl Karbe advises public clients on public procurement law. A particular focus is on strategic and organizational consulting with regard to the establishment or optimization of processes and structures in public procurement. His focus is on simplifying and increasing the efficiency of procurement practices in order to promote the potential of the public sector. Another focus is on the preparation and implementation of contract award procedures for the procurement of complex planning and construction services.
