KPMG Law and KPMG advise HWP Handwerkspartner Group on the acquisition of Elektro Fastabend Group

KPMG Law Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH (KPMG Law) and KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft (KPMG) have jointly advised the HWP Handwerkspartner Group (HWP) on the acquisition of Fastabend Elektro-Gebäudetechnik KG and Fastabend Industrie-Elektrotechnik GmbH & Co KG (Elektro Fastabend) from Bielefeld.

KPMG Law advised HWP on the transaction structure for the acquisition of the Elektro Fastabend Group, carried out comprehensive legal due diligence and supported the purchase agreement negotiations.
KPMG Law worked with a cross-location team, primarily from the areas of corporate/M&A and employment law.

As part of the transaction, KPMG advised on all tax and finance/deal advisory issues relevant to the transaction with a cross-location team.
Prior to the transaction, KPMG conducted a due diligence for tax and finance.
The Elektro Fastabend Group has a tradition of over 90 years and employs more than 100 people.
The company is mainly active in the fields of lighting technology, building automation, renewable energies, security technology, communication and security systems.

The HWP Handwerkspartner Group was founded in 2007 and employs around 1,250 people at over 20 locations in Germany and Luxembourg.

Since 2023, the HWP Handwerkspartner Group has been part of GRIP (Goldbeck Robens Industrial Partners), an investment company owned by the Goldbeck family of entrepreneurs from Bielefeld and the entrepreneur Björn-Hendrik Robens.
Until 2023, the majority shareholder of the HWP Handwerkspartner Group was the private equity firm Adiuva Capital from Hamburg.
