KPMG Law advised Envola GmbH, provider of an innovative technology platform for buildings for heating, cooling, ventilation and hot water preparation, on its first equity financing round.
Envola GmbH develops and sells a fully integrated and networked system for heating, cooling, ventilation and hot water preparation for commercial and residential properties. As part of the financing round, Envola was able to raise a double-digit million euro amount as equity. The new funds will enable the start-up to further develop its technology and expand its business activities. The investment also strengthens the company’s strategic position as a long-term planning and implementation partner that offers an overall concept for indoor air management and climate control. The investors include well-known financial, angel and strategic investors from Germany and Switzerland. KPMG Law has been providing legal advice to Envola GmbH for some time, in particular on the previous financing through convertible loans. In the equity financing round, KPMG Law provided Envola with comprehensive legal advice. This included the legal due diligence, the preparation and negotiation of the investment and participation documentation as well as the implementation of the capital increase.
