KPMG Law advises the GOLDBECK Group on the acquisition of a majority stake in the Schalm Group

KPMG Law Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH (KPMG Law) advised the HWP Handwerkspartner Group on the acquisition of the Schalm Group.
KPMG Law conducted a comprehensive legal due diligence and supported the purchase agreement negotiations.
KPMG Law worked with a cross-location team, primarily from the areas of employment law and corporate/M&A.
The HKS company H. Schalm GmbH has been in existence since 1979 and expanded the group of companies and its services between 2006 and 2011 by founding companies for insulation technology, ventilation technology and industrial services.
The medium-sized family business from Mönchengladbach has almost 60 employees and is active in the fields of heating construction, sanitary technology and ventilation construction.
The HWP Handwerkspartner Group was founded in 2007 and employs around 1,250 people at over 20 locations in Germany and Luxembourg.
The three main service areas include painting and finishing work, building protection and technical building equipment (TGA) including roofing and solar.

Since 2023, the HWP Handwerkspartner Group has been part of GRIP (Goldbeck Robens Industrial Partners), an investment company owned by the Goldbeck family of entrepreneurs from Bielefeld and the entrepreneur Björn-Hendrik Robens.
