Biography

Contract negotiations oriented to commercial interests, clearly formulated and structured contract clauses, proactive contract management and claim management, and interest-based conflict management are the backbone of healthy commercial-legal relationships.

Christine Heeg-Weimann’s focus in over 12 years of legal advice is on these aspects in commercial and corporate law as well as in plant engineering and dispute resolution, which can largely avoid conflicts and disputes and minimize risks for companies. In this sense, she proactively assists her clients in contract drafting and negotiation and also in the event of a dispute in anticipatory conflict management through interest-based negotiation and mediation, in strategic and cost issues and, as ultima ratio, in dispute resolution in litigation and (international) arbitration.

In her legal and forensic practice and training, she has a particular country focus on Russia and the Baltic States as well as Greater China including Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Christine Heeg-Weimann is a member of the Russian Desk and the China Desk of KPMG Law and KPMG AG. She also spent 10 years in the management of an international arbitration institution.
