Dr. Jyn Schultze-Melling: Lawyer. Management consultant. Expert in data protection and information compliance.

When Jyn sets up a data management system with his clients, he doesn’t just ask what data the company is currently processing. He is much more interested in where the management wants to take the business strategically. Because when a company grows or implements its transformation agenda, it is important that it aligns its data with this from the outset. Only then will it remain flexible and optimally protected against cybercrime.

What not everyone knows: Data management is essential if companies want to utilize their data economically. Jyn therefore discusses the right models for this with its clients at an early stage and always with an eye on the horizon.

His mission

Jyn’s mission is to anchor the responsible handling of data deep within the structures of organizations. In other words:

  • Demonstrating the benefits of digitalization
  • Creating more clarity about what is permissible when using data
  • Developing and implementing a data strategy together with companies

His approach

Jyn sees himself not only as a lawyer but also as coach and strategic advisor. Jyn anticipates developments, not just legal ones, but also the use of AI, for example. Data protection plays a particularly important role here. Together with IT experts, he and his team support the implementation of artificial intelligence, provide organizations with the best possible protection against cybercrime and advise clients on legal matters if cyber attacks have already occurred. Jyn shows his clients how to strategically incorporate data protection and works with them to develop new data and AI-based business models.

His focus

  • Technology Law
  • IT and data protection law
  • Employee data protection law
  • Legal Operations Consulting
  • Legal Technology Solutions & Legal Managed Services
