Dr. Frank Kafka

Biography

Frank began his career as an attorney in 2014.

He joined KPMG Law in 2022 after working as an attorney in the corporate/M&A department of leading U.S. commercial law firms, as a senior underwriter in the M&A insurance department of a leading U.S. insurance company, and as Head of Legal and Compliance of a leading German venture capital fund.

Frank advises his clients on domestic and international M&A, private equity and venture capital transactions.

Its range of services includes in particular:

• Legal due diligence review in which the legal aspects of the target company relevant to the transaction are reviewed and presented in the legal due diligence report.
• Developing negotiation strategies as well as negotiating the transaction documents in order to pursue the client’s economic goals and, in particular, to adequately address the uncovered legal risks of the legal due diligence review in economic terms.
• Review and drafting of transaction documents, in particular:
• Confidentiality Agreement,
• Term Sheet,
• Purchase and Transfer Agreement,
• Investment Agreement,
